6 Day Safari Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival in Maun & Makgadikgadi Pans
- Arrive at Maun International Airport (MUB) and be met by a representative.
- Road or light aircraft transfer to a lodge or camp near the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park or Nxai Pan National Park
- Settle in and enjoy an afternoon activity, such as a guided drive on the salt-encrusted landscape or a visit to a local village, depending on location. The pans offer unique, vast landscapes and adapted wildlife.
DAY 2
From the Pans to the Okavango Delta
- Early morning activity in the Makgadikgadi area, such as a walk with the San people or a visit to meerkats (seasonal and location dependent).
- Return to the lodge for brunch, then transfer to the local airstrip for a light aircraft flight to the heart of the Okavango Delta
- Check into your Delta camp, and enjoy an afternoon activity (e.g., mokoro ride or bush walk).
DAY 3
Full Day Okavango Delta Exploration
- Spend a full day exploring the Delta's pristine waterways and islands. Activities may include guided nature walks, game drives, and mokoro trips, offering a chance to see unique water-adapted wildlife and abundant birdlife.
- Enjoy all meals and activities included by the camp, maximizing your time in this unique ecosystem.
DAY 4
Transfer to Chobe National Park
- Enjoy a final morning activity in the Delta before a light aircraft flight to Kasane Airport (BBK), the gateway to Chobe National Park.
- Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your lodge near the Chobe Riverfront.
- After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park, famous for its large elephant and buffalo herds.
DAY 5
Chobe River Safari & Transfer to Victoria Falls
- Start the day with a morning game drive in the park.
- After brunch/lunch, enjoy a highlight: a Chobe River boat safari. This provides exceptional opportunities to view animals drinking from the riverbank from a unique perspective.
- In the late afternoon, take a road transfer across the border into Zimbabwe and on to your hotel in Victoria Falls town
DAY 6
Victoria Falls & Departure
- After breakfast, take a guided tour of the spectacular Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The sheer scale and spray are awe-inspiring.
- Depending on your flight schedule, you can enjoy an optional activity (e.g., helicopter flight over the falls, shopping in the local market) before your transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) or Kasane International Airport (BBK) for departure.
